The Last Airbender

Suspense auteur M. Night Shyamalan takes a break from crafting original screenplays to tell this tale of a 12-year-old boy (Noah Ringer) who provides the last hope for restoring harmony to a land consumed by chaos.

In a world balanced on the four nations of Water, Earth, Fire, and Air, people known as the Waterbenders, Earthbenders, Firebenders, and Airbenders have mastered their native elements. Though the masters can each manipulate their native elements, the only one with the power to manipulate all four elements is a young boy known as the Avatar. When the Avatar subsequently appears to die while still mastering his powers, the Fire nation launches a global war with the ultimate goal of global domination. One hundred years later, two teens discover that the Avatar and his flying bison have in fact been locked in suspended animation.

Upon being freed from his prison, the Avatar embarks on an arduous quest to restore harmony among the four war-ravaged nations.

An on leave army officer named Kate is a passenger on a flight from Iraq to Los Angeles when she meets Holden, a gay man whose lover is a closeted football player. The owner of a florist shop, Reed proposes to his girlfriend, Morley , while learning his best friend, Julia , has a boyfriend named Harrisonwho turns out to be married. An assistant named Liz is working at the biggest talent agency in town and is dating the mailroom assistant, Jason . Julia's mother, Estelle is a happy retiree who must reveal an affair from long ago to her husband, Edgar . Their granddaughter is going to have sex with her boyfriend at her high school, where Tyler Harringtonand Samantha Kennyare athletic teenagers who are deeply in love.

Universal Soldier Regeneration

The militant Islamist Chechen Basayev abducts the children of the President and takes control of Chernobyl, threatening to unleash a radioactive cloud unless his demands are met. Luc Deveraux (Van Damme), now a Universal Soldier again, joins a new team of UniSols secretly held in deep storage. Their mission is to retake Chernobyl and disable explosives that will unleash radioactive clouds. Luc discovers that one of the reactivated Universal Soldiers is a clone of his old, homicidal Sergeant, Andrew Scott (Lundgren). He also must face the NGU, the next generation in the UniSol biotechnology.
